Very challenging and scenic course. Better bring your A game. Senior rate of $38 is a steal considering the quality of the layout.

greens need to come back, course in general is challenging from all tees

A challenging pleasure to play because of the layout and distance of most par fours and the green location of par threes. Par three #17 is unusual due to it's length, 205 yrds. from blue tees and 186 from white tees. All greens are well guarded by deep bunkers. Fairways are a challenge because they are not level, or flat. Overall, enough variety to make you want to come back again. Pro shop products could be somewhat better. Proshop attendants are good natured, courteous and friendly. Practice facilities are very good and balls are reasonably priced. Special incentive plans are available for those who can play more often. Manager runs a good ship.

Greens rolled well enough but were spotty with grass damage. Not enough to detour me from playing it at all. Most greens in the GA area have suffered this year from the high heat and drought. Especially the bent grass greens like these. Cobblestone is one of the best and toughest layouts in the area. A very wavy landscape that is beautiful in low light. To score well it helps to play it a few times to know the green levels and get a feel for the course. It is important to drive it with control. Otherwise you will chalk up some penalty strokes. The greens have moderate speed for bent grass. I am an 11 handicap and have played some of my best rounds out there but I have played it a lot. After coming back to Cobblestone after playing other places I realize how accurate you have to be to score well. The blue tees appear short overall but I have heard this course described as one of the longest short courses out there. There are 5 par 5's and there are some long par 4 holes and short par 4 holes. You will use all your clubs. Excellent challenge.

The course is in great shape. The consistency of the greens is outstanding. Very challenging but rewarding. The cart staff, pro shop staff, rangers, and restaurant personnel were very friendly. I can't wait to play again.
